Ship's Telegraph
Re-designed and re-engineered to replace a legacy system on a British Navy vessel, the telegraph is a form-fit-function replacement with enhanced capability.
Traditionally, a ship's telegraph relays commands such as 'full ahead' from the bridge to the engine room.
Customer Requirement:
Coda Octopus Martech was commissioned to redesign a robust, reliable, and unambiguous telegraph system with enhanced communication, feedback, and fault tolerance.
Meeting the challenging needs of the Navy:
Coda Octopus Martech designed an answer-back telegraph system that looks and operates like the traditional system but with highly reliable LED illumination and microprocessor control.
The re-designed system was installed in place of the original system using the ship's existing wiring.
